Based on a contract with Sompo Japan, the handling agent performs the following duties on behalf of the customer: receiving notifications from customers, concluding insurance contracts, collecting premiums, issuing premium receipts, and managing contracts. Therefore, any valid contracts that you enter into with the handling agent will be directly concluded with Sompo Japan.

About life insurance agents

Our life insurance agents (employees and sales agents) act as intermediaries between customers and our company in concluding insurance contracts, and do not have the authority to act on their behalf in concluding insurance contracts.

An insurance contract is valid when the Company accepts the customer's application for an insurance contract.

Role of the person in charge in concluding the contract

 A life insurance contract is a contract concluded between the customer and Dai-ichi Life, and is valid when the customer applies and Dai-ichi Life accepts the contract. The role of the person in charge (life insurance agent) is to act as an intermediary in concluding the contract, and they do not have the authority to represent the customer in concluding the contract or to receive notices.
